Sorry Folks!

 

It was all a bit of a last minute rush but we managed to move all our sewing, screen printing and other assorted knick knacks to our new shop space.

You can now find us at 412 Parramatta Road Petersham 2049.

It will however take us a couple of weeks to get the shop to a functional point but we’ll keep you updated through the website, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.

There’s much work to be done but we are confident we can have things up and running within a months time.

We’re excited about all the wonderful new products and equipment we’ll be bringing to the new space and can’t wait to open our doors and share it all with you.

Refashion it!

Bobbin and Ink are kicking it old school with UTS Green and the Institute for Sustainable Futures at “Refashion It” on June 2nd!

Funk it up like your grandma would! And keep those old clothes moving. Learn low cost ways for repairing and altering clothing. Covering how to hem, reattach buttons, upcycle your old favourites and cover that stubborn stain with transfers or applique.

Basic tools and scrap materials will be provide for use on the day. As well as this we will have a small stall with simple supplies for sale so you can continue the fun at home!

Fabric-a-brac Sydney is Coming!

 Bobbin and Ink are helping out at Fabric-a-brac Sydney this May 24th.

We’ll be running short workshops in Sewing and Screen Printing alongside Make It Collective, Brooklyn Bagel Boys, live music and other treats. Most of all, the day will be filled with tantalising second-hand and new fabrics to purchase and swap.

Happy Birthday Shop!

 

Happy Birthday, Shop! A year ago today, Bobbin and Ink opened for business. Since then we’ve seen so many great faces, sewing projects and print pieces pass through our door.

Thanks so much for the warm support we’ve had from pretty much everyone we’ve met. Thanks to the friends, family, shop suppliers, wholesale suppliers, class participants, event attendees, Print and Bobbin club members and all other customers who’ve made our acquaintance.

It’s been fun so far, and we hope it’ll stay that way. Look forward to big things for us in 2014!

Last Days to Enter: The Great Jelly Roll Race!

Help us raise money and make quilts for homeless young people staying in the care of Father Chris Riley’s Youth Off the Streets programmes.

Just $50 to enter!

($30 goes direct to the charity, $20 goes towards supplies for creating the quilts).

When: 10am to 4pm on Saturday 14th and 10am to 12pm Sunday 15th September.

It’ll be a fun and social day. We’ll teach you the basics of using a machine if you’re a newbie, or get you brushing up and showing off your sewing skills if you’re a pro.

Either way, there are prizes to be won and we want your help to make the quilts we’ll be donating.
